It is important that animals that live outside have proper shelter to protect them from adverse weather conditions. ARSC has begun a campaign effort dubbed “Give a Dog a House Campaign” and here is how it works. Any sized doghouse (S-XL) that has 4 sides with an entrance, roof and floor and in good repair with no holes, cracks or rotted wood can be donated. Plastic and wooden houses will be accepted. If you have something that fits that description, take it to the Stokes County Animal Shelter on Sizemore Road in Germanton, NC, for directions call 336-994-2788. At that time, you will receive a receipt for the amount of the worth of the dog house to turn in on your taxes.
Once we receive the house it will be donated to families throughout the community in need of a doghouse, free of charge. Any and all donations are needed and accepted and tax deductible.

RABIES CLINIC- APRIL 14, 2012 AT MOUNT OLIVE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN KING, NC. 9:00 AM - 12 NOON. COST IS $8.00- CASH ONLY. ANIMALS WILL BE KEPT IN VEHICLES. IF 3 YEAR RABIES IS NEEDED, PLEASE BRING PAPER PROOF OF A ONE YEAR VACCINATION.
6TH ANNUAL "MUSIC FOR MUTTS" WILL BE HELD ON OCTOBER 13, 2012 AT CENTRAL PARK IN KING.
